Birth and early life

The biography of Toyin Aimakhu definitely starts from her birth. She was born and christened as Olutoyin Aimakhu on the 5th of September 1984. Her place of birth was in Auchi, Edo State Nigeria. She is the last child out of six children and had to hawk sometimes, to support her family.

Toyin attended  Oba Kenzo Nursery and Primary School, Benin, in Edo State, and upon the retirement of her father, the entire family moved to Ibadan, Oyo State. She spent most of her childhood in Ibadan. After they moved, she enrolled in Queen’s Staff School, then St. Annes School, Ibadan.

Upon completion of her studies there, she attended Iree Polytechnic in Osun State, where she bagged a National Diploma in Business Studies. Wanting more for herself, Toyin proceeded to Onabisi Onabanjo University and graduated with a degree in Philosophy. She went back to Iree Polytechnic again and obtained a Higher National Diploma in Marketing.

Toyin got married to Adeniyi Johnson, in the year 2013. Adeniyi was a Nollywood actor. However, the marriage lasted only two years before they got a divorce.

Toyin remarried another Nollywood actor, Kolawole Ajeyemi, in July 2019. They did a traditional engagement ceremony, and in August of the same year, they welcomed their first child, a boy, together.

In 2016, Toyin changed her name from Toyin Aimakhu, to Toyin Abraham, and she said the change, happened to be a family decision.
