AHRC PhD Studentship program is organized by the Imperial War Museums (IWM) in collaboration with King’s College London.

With the purpose of supporting EU and UK applicants, the grant is available to pursue doctoral research program at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London.

  • The grant will be awarded worth up to £17,009 plus £550 additional payment for Collaborative Doctoral Students

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Students from EU and UK nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD in War studies, History, Cultural studies, Contemporary British History.
  • Admissible Criteria: If you want to be considered for the program, you need to be completed masters and graduate coursework.
  • Students must have to enroll in a full-time PhD degree coursework for three years in the following subjects at college.

How to Register for AHRC PhD Studentship for EU and UK Students at King’s College London, UK

  • By satisfying the eligibility requirements, entrants can apply for the fund after taking admission in a PhD degree at the Kings College London. After registering as a full-time PhD student, aspirants need to submit all the supporting documents to the award.
  • Supporting Documents: Contestants will be asked to provide the personal statement describing studentship aims, curriculum vitae (no more than two pages), a sample of writing, a covering letter outlining their suitability for the fund and how they would approach the research.
  • Admission Requirements: For being enrolled in a PhD degree, claimants are required to have transcripts of undergraduate and master’s qualifications, and two academic references.
  • Language Requirement: All applicants must have to pass either the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
