Sahapedia is advertising the Sahapedia Fellowships to students holding a postgraduate degree or in Humanities and Social sciences. You can access the sahapedia Fellowships in different languages like Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, English, Bangla. 

 

The fellowship program tries really hard to provide students, scholars and enthusiasts with a chance to engage with and determine the rich cultural legacy of India.

 

Under this fellowship, the candidates are thought to conduct critical research and documentation in various fields of cultural knowledge.

UNESCO fellowships for postdoctoral fellows, doctoral candidates, postgraduates, and graduates (including students who must be a graduate in the summer of 2021. Students from Indian can also apply for this fellowship program.

 

The purpose of the grant is to give enthusiasts, students, and researchers the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage and to continue their research on Indian knowledge systems. Sahapedia is pleased to announce its sahapedia UNESCO fellowship.

 

Field of Study

 

Fellowships are available to pursue research. Through this initiative, Fellows will be encouraged to carry out documentation and critical research in diverse areas of cultural knowledge, while interacting with and enhancing networks that contribute to the creation of the same.

 

Host Nationality:

 

The scholarship is taken in Maharashtra state INDIA.  

 

Sahapedia Fellowships Benefits:

 

The SPF will be granted an award of Rs. 40,000 and the SRF an award of Rs. 15,000. Once the deliverables have been fixed for individual Fellows, a detailed plan is to be drafted for submission, including an expenditure plan.

The first installment (20%) of the award will be paid after the approval of the plan. The subsequent installments shall be paid on the completion of specific elements in the assignment plan.

Through this program, Fellows shall receive an opportunity to work and conduct research in their area of interest, while receiving access to networks of scholars and professionals in the heritage sector. Their work will be made visible on the Sahapedia portal, making it accessible to wider audiences.

 

Sahapedia UNESCO Fellowship 

 

Sahapedia unesco fellowship is a collaborative scheme to encourage fresh research on concrete and immaterial legacy across India and South Asia. The fellowship is a means of helping analysis on the arts and cultural diversity of India. It also helps to support field practitioners and fresh scholars to distinguish from their views what is required to be documented.

 

It is awarded annually. The Fellowship helps people in their work with communities and practices that do not get the consideration they want.

 

The Sahapedia UNESCO fellowship supports connections between those in the field and those in the academy.

 

Sahapedia Fellowships Dates

 

20th May, 2022: online application starts.

 

30th June, 2022: online application ends.

 

12th August, 2022: announcement of the result of selected candidates.

 

13th August to 25th August, 2022: email acceptance and contracts.

 

1st September 2021 to 15th March 2022: Research and submission of research carried out.

 

Sahapedia Fellowships Eligibility

 

The fellowship is for post graduates and above those who are qualified in the regulations of the Humanities and Social Sciences in the most comprehensive sense, or those with equivalent experience.

 

Candidates with previous professional or academic familiarity with the topic under application may be given preference.

 

The fellowship is only for those candidates holding an Indian bank account.

 

Candidates who were granted the Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship earlier are not eligible to apply.

 

Sahapedia Fellowship Application Procedure

 

  • Submit your Resume

 

  • An abstract of exactly 250 words. 

 

  • A Proposal of 1000 words approximately.

 

  • The proposal must be relevant to Sahapedia’s field of work.

 

  • The proposal should show the scope of work, selection of deliverables, methodology, timeframe and familiarity with existing literature work on the subject. 

 

  • Bibliography list of existing literature or work on the topic given; no more than 15 items or titles are expected.

 

  • The candidate must write a sample, a previously written assay or research paper of about 1500 words, or a URL link of 5-10 minutes video showing the applicant’s skills in filmmaking or videography for documentation.

 

Selection Process 

 

  • Analysis of the sample videos based on camera work, visuals and narrative skills.

 

  • Easy to understand as it concerns the deliverables chosen for the project.

 

  • Language of the proposal should be a written sample and submitted by the applicant.

 

  • It should be clear as it concerns the source of the project.

 

  • Make it simple and understandable, sources, completeness and range of references submitted.

 

Sahapedia Fellowship 2022

 

Sahapedia Fellowship was meant to provide enthusiasts, candidates and scholars an opportunity to engage with and explore India’s rich cultural heritage. The third edition will be announced by the organizers of the Fellowship program in coordination with UNESCO. 

 

All successful candidates will receive UNESCO cultural Research Fellowship and will receive an INR 44,445 that is tax deductible to conduct the research. Any applicant that is working in the regional language will receive the amount of INR 10,000 for translation.

Application deadline For Sahapedia Fellowships

 

All Candidates must submit their application for the Sahapedia UNESCO Cultural Research Fellowship in India before June 3, 2022. Any Application coming after the deadline is not eligible for the fellowship consideration.

Sahapedia fellowships is UNESCO’S Convention for the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The reason for the Fellowship is to raise awareness at local, national and international levels of the value of intangible heritage and improve access to associations, groups and individuals.
